The planned lesbian housing project and cultural centre in Berolinastraße in the district of Berlin-Mitte invites interested people and the neighbourhood to get to know each other and to get together with coffee, cake, a flea market and music. In the scope of the neighbourhood festival, we will provide information about the plans and future use of the new building and are open to questions and suggestions from the neighbourhood.
The inclusive queer centre will offer 70 affordable and barrier-free flats for communal living, as well as counselling rooms, an event hall and a neighbourhood café. The lighthouse project is intended in particular to enable same-sex loving women* in old age as well as lesbians with and without disabilities to live together and participate in a self-determined and discrimination-free way. As an inclusive and solidary place, the centre wants to contribute to a liveable and lovable neighbourhood.
The ladies‘ combo Brassgirls will provide musical entertainment.

The directly neighbouring underground station Schillingstraße has a lift, wheelchair accessible toilets are accessible near the venue at Rathaus Mitte, speeches will be amplified with a mobile loudspeaker system.
The event takes place in cooperation of Rad und Tat Berlin gGmbH (Lesbian Housing Project) with the Equal Opportunities Officer of the Mitte District Office and the Alexanderplatz District Coordination. The event is sponsored by the Landesantidiskriminierungsstelle Berlin.
Das geplante Lesbenwohnprojekt und Kulturzentrum in der Berolinastraße im Bezirk Berlin-Mitte lädt Interessierte und die Nachbarschaft zum Kennenlernen und zum Miteinander ein bei Kaffee, Kuchen, Flohmarkt und Musik. Im Rahmen eines Kiezfestes informieren wir über die Pläne und die zukünftige Nutzung des Neubaus und sind für Fragen und Anregungen aus der Nachbarschaft offen.
Das inklusive queere Zentrum wird 70 bezahlbare und barrierefreie Wohnungen zum gemeinschaftlichen Leben, sowie Beratungsräume, einen Veranstaltungssaal und ein Kiez-Café bieten. Das Leuchtturmprojekt soll insbesondere gleichgeschlechtlich liebenden Frauen* im Alter sowie Lesben mit und ohne Behinderung ein selbstbestimmtes und diskriminierungsfreies Zusammenleben und Teilhabe ermöglichen. Als inklusiver und solidarischer Ort will das Zentrum zum lebens- und liebenswerten Kiez beitragen.
Für musikalische Unterhaltung sorgt die Damenkombo Brassgirls.

Der direkt benachbarte U-Bahnhof Schillingstraße verfügt über einen Aufzug, rollstuhlfahrer*innengerechte Toiletten sind in der Nähe des Veranstaltungsortes im Rathaus Mitte zugänglich, Redebeiträge werden mit einer mobilen Lautsprecheranlage verstärkt.
Die Veranstaltung findet in Kooperation der Rad und Tat Berlin gGmbH (Lesbenwohnprojekt) mit der Gleichstellungsbeauftragten des Bezirksamtes Mitte sowie der Stadtteilkoordination Alexanderplatz statt. Die Veranstaltung wird gefördert von der Landesantidiskriminierungsstelle Berlin.
